Accessibility Statement for Houndstooth KC

Last updated: December 9, 2025

1. Our Commitment

Houndstooth KC is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to ensure that all visitors — including those using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technologies — can access our content, products, and services.

We believe in inclusive design, and we are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of houndstoothkc.com.

2. Standards and Scope

- We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level A and Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

- This accessibility statement applies to all content on houndstoothkc.com, including pages for “Custom Suits,” “Ready-to-Wear,” “Schedule,” “Weddings,” “Contact,” and other site sections listed in the site navigation.

3. What We Have Done So Far

To improve accessibility across the website, we have:

- Removed non-compliant overlays that interfered with screen readers or keyboard navigation.

- Performed a full accessibility audit of the site: automated checks and manual testing using screen reader tools (e.g. NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard navigation, and other assistive technology.

- Fixed many accessibility issues including missing alt text on images, improper form labels, lack of skip-navigation links, poor color-contrast, and inconsistent heading structure.

- Embedded accessible booking functionality (e.g. third-party booking system) with attention to ARIA roles, focus control, and keyboard/mobile compatibility.

- Written an internal process for ongoing accessibility maintenance, including manual and automated reviews, client training, and documentation of fixes.

4. Known Limitations & Third-Party Content

While we are working continuously to improve the site, there may still be parts of houndstoothkc.com that are not fully compliant. Some known limitations (or possible user-reported issues) may include:

- Elements added or updated after our most recent audit that have not yet been re-tested (e.g. new product images, dynamic content, custom scripts).

- Content served via third-party widgets, plugins, or external services — we do our best to ensure those are accessible, but cannot guarantee they fully conform to WCAG.

- Some older documents or PDFs (if any) may not have full accessibility (e.g. tagged PDFs, text alternatives).

We are maintaining a remediation plan to address new content and external dependencies as they arise.
